when you're living in america

I just packed FOUR BOXES. I clearly deserve a cookie. Maybe some ice cream.

*sighs* *looks around apt* This is gonna take FOREVER which is AWESOME since I only have THREE WEEKS. *sighs LOUDER*

Packing did help me find my Russia folder from last year which had an extra passport photo in it, so I don't have to get a new one for my visa which is one less thing on my list of things to do today, which has now dropped down to two (eating, packing, and watching TV with Kate are things that are understood and therefore remain unlisted).

In other news, filed under things Merrin does because she's very impulsive and slightly stupid, I bought another book yesterday. That's right. Another one to pack up and move, along with all the other books I own and haven't read yet. No, actually, I probably won't EVER learn.

But! It's The Road! Because it's out in paperback now and it was only 10 dollars with my dad's discount card at B&N and it's shiny and NEW and apocalyptic, which should help to get me in an apocalyptic mood to write incredulity a story. And I've been doing nothing but reading Nora Roberts and slash recently and I think my brain is beginning to melt out my ears. (Not that the slash is badly written, but Nora Roberts? WTF?)

*packs*

apartment, moving, books, russia
