Well, tuesday night was usually really great. The Bible study went well. We talked about:
Boasting Only in the Cross of Christ, The Blazing Center of the Glory of God
What is the opposite of wasting your life?
1. God- exalting (Isaiah 43:7)
2. Soul- satisfying (Psalm 90: 14)
3. Single passion (Matthew 22: 37)
• The opposite of wasting your life is to live by a single, soul-satisfying passion for the supremacy of God in all things.
• If you live for the glory of God, you would have to live for the glory of Christ crucified.
• If we glorify Christ, we should have one aim or one single passion. (Bible tells to do this. 1 Corinthians 2:2, Paul tells us that.)
• We don’t have to know a lot of things for us to make a difference in the world. We need to know few things and mastered that one great thing and than you can make a difference. You don’t have to look a certain way or know certain people. (1 Samuel 16: 7)
• Examples of tragedies of a wasted life and not wasted life. (pages 45)
i got this from John Piper's book, Don't Waste Your Life. So if you want to know the examples you would have to read page 45 in that book. All of the points was what i thought it would be cool to talk about. So, i can't take full credit but i did put my two cents in.
We praised God we pray for Christ's church, their needs and health. We also pray for the lost that needs to realize that they need Jesus.
Please pray for me those that read my LJ. Pray that i would resist temptation, be bold about the name of Jesus, and i would search for that one single passion that Paul talks about.
i love you guys for Christ has overflown His love out of me. Is only by His doing and not mine.
