two guys on kids bikes, polish lady on phone, porch people house 1 and 2, two polish guys, two alley rummagers with carts, two more polish guys (crustier), family of three, hispanic guy, two dudes smoking up, 2 more dudes, bar regular?, hipster dude, some others i don't remember who passed me by on the phone while talking to meredith.  she said she felt like she "was in another world" in the neighborhood, so many polish north and mexicans south.
still jobless, npr news doesn't help nor does the paper, online apps suck but they don't have paper anymore. so what to do.  so go with the family to michigan shore all next week. no spending money, just time doing homework from two years ago (ukrainian culture cough).

last night i bought booze for the girls and their gang, it was great we turned around several times, they said diversey/milwaukee is "fountain square with the sketch", first liquor store was a bust, the kind of vodka sold in plastic bottles so we drove around the actual logan square, headed up to the 24 hour mart, major drug bust in the parking lot, "no worries, let's just carry the beer to the car". "let's get out of here, the cops are out". "do they always bother black people?" "well if you're wearing a huge white shirt then yes. it happened more on lyndale". "raul was robbed down the street".
so off to another liquor store just across the street to get the vodka and the captain morgan. i'm writing all of this to say, thank you logan square, for your multiple liquor stores open late. "what about a polish place" "oh all the polish places close at 8. i don't know why."

i paid my rent then mr. hanusiak says "two people $700". i just said what? shook my head and left. i guess i'll get it to him....
i've seen several cops in front of zakopane harnas, that means it's legit by chicago standards, if the cops eat there then it must be good.
"the cops always know where to eat" the first time i heard that was in chi, and i hear it maybe once a week.

i miss kavelle and her trinidad talk.
