2010
It feels a little weird throwing 2010 into the shredder. 2010 always seems like the future, like we should be seeing two stars in the sky and being warned to stay away from Europa...
Anyhow, let's see 2010:
* This was the fist year that Rhys came to live in Seattle for the summer.
* We built a fence for what is now known as "little house"--after wisely having a professional with the right equipment do all the posting--, with generous help from our Seattle friends.
* 2010 was the first year cuddlyeconomist threw her "cookie party" in Seattle.
* appleang's and I's "shared custody" Russian Blue cat, Koshka, died in May of 2010.
* My favorite old Redmond restaurant Typhoon was still in business.
* I left the Xbox Advanced Technology Group (ATG) to go be the lead developer of a small team focused on the DirectX SDK, and was instead randomized mightily by Kinect.
* I managed to get a June 2010 release of the DirectX SDK out the door, which as it turned but was 'end of life' for the venerable product with the shift to the "one and only Windows SDK".
* 2010 was also the year I started my professional blog.
