So i registered to vote and voted for the very first time to do my part to get bush out of office. Oddly enough there were a hell of a lot of other people that did the exact same thing... yet here we are with bush remaining in office. I live in a nation of sheep, baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. If someone can effectively tell me why everyone would re-elect bush after all the shit that has gone down, please do.
Lets tally my reasons for not wanting him to be re-elected....
1. you cant give me that bullshit of, he did so much for us after sept. 11th, because i know and everyone else should know that no matter who the president was, something would have been done to pacify the people.
2. bush was handed the budget with a surplus rather than a deficit, yet now we have one of the largest deficits we have ever had
3. is your life any better now because of bush? theres a hell of a lot of people that lost pretty much everything because of jobs that were lost, and then lets add that to sky high prices on just about everything... to me that equals a bad life that is not as prosperous as it could be
4. just a couple weeks ago bush signed another tax break for big businesses which amounted to 3 or 6 HUNDRED MILLION dollars, wouldnt it be nice if we got that instead of businesses that can actually afford to pay high taxes? of course this was reported in the news once maybe twice and then swept away
5.a. bush declared war on a nation that did absolutely nothing to us.. now if that isnt enough reason to kick his ass out i dont know what is.. i thought bin laden was the guy that blew up the world trade center and pentagon, why did the president only go after hussein?
5.b. the nation tried to impeach clinton just for getting a little bit of head from that stupid intern with a big mouth, heh, why are we not up in arms over this whole war thing to the point of impeaching bush? gettin a blowjob is no where near as bad as destroying a country that did nothing to us..
6. back to jobs, millions of jobs were lost, bush thinks hes a great guy because "he" created something like 1.6 million new jobs this year.. yeah thats so great because the guy that got fired from the job that paid $18 an hour now works at mcdonalds or walmart for not even half that much. good job bush
7. healthcare... yeah i cant afford to go to the doctor to find out about the baby im carrying and your grandma cant pay for all the medicine thats keeping her alive. canada can sell those drugs to grandma for a fraction of the price and in canada and europe id have free healthcare (so would everyone else). now we wouldnt have gotten free healthcare but we could have gotten the cheaper drugs from canada. and the healthcare plan that kerry was talking about is actually a great plan, my mom has it because she works for the VA, its not "government run" she gets to choose which provider she pays for, she picks her doctor, it probably would have run us a little over a hundred a month to choose whether we had blue cross or united healthcare or humana, etc., all of which come with a big book of doctors to pick, this is a bad healthcare plan? its the same thing you get from the company you work for, only with more choices.
8. religion has no place in politics, kerry stuck to that and proved it during the debates when he said that hes a catholic and follows the church but he cannot force his beliefs on anyone because its just not right, not every catholic is devout, im catholic and im not, i disagree with the church on a lot of issues. bush constantly pushes his views on people, and is making constitutional amendments to do so to an even greater degree. bushs christian beliefs are not my catholic beliefs, so why should he be able to campaign using them and more to the point why are we letting him? there is a separation of church and state for a reason.
ok im tired of this, i cannot believe people are so easily lead, so unable to open their eyes and take a look around to see what is really going on. im so disappointed. i hope everyone liked the 50's because thats what its going to be like after the next four years are over. lets just pray that it doesnt go to far and we're living like theres martial law.
