BYOB restaurants are something that should catch on in America, but never will. i can buy a £4 bottle of wine, and take it to the cheap chinese restaurant down the street. it works out for everyone. they don't have to buy a liquor license and i can get fed and sauced for under £10. also, if i don't finish my wine, i can just walk down the street drinking it and not be bothered by open intox laws.
