you kiss me, smothering me with lies through your teeth
my heart hammers in anticipation with each amplified beat
i watch the clock, the hour pointing to the two
the minute hand at the one and before the second hand could move
i know you've won with your treacherous hands at my throat
the heat of our embrace and the cold on the night juxtaposed
and now you grasp my arms, digging nails into my flesh
and each bitter blow tears at my already jagged breath
but no matter how much the faithless judas you are
no matter how much of your silver orbs you impart
i am no christ, no god, no emblem of perfection
you won't hear a desperate plea for your redemption
ok so i was experimenting with half rhymes and i'm not too satisfied with this. i forgot where i was going with this. it's actually the middle of a poem but i can't bring myself to finish it. so yeah. i need to get out of my writer's block. -_-
