scary thought: i'm now officially an alum of la salle. O.o
graduation was thursday. it was nice. thanks to my hvoc- brian, james, and wing- for waiting outside for practically an hour. ^o^ can't believe it's actually over. i will miss a lot of people. and i will be glad to leave a lot of other people and things about la salle. :/ i think i had an entry earlier about this, and i might have another when i actually leave for college.
friday, i went to lunia's graduation party. got to see lunia, dan cottle, shannon, jon cottle, bridget, kian, derek, and billy for the last time in a while, or at least for a month. it was pretty fun. we played some frisbee. went to this field/lake thing. then kian and i walked back and sat on a pile of gravel. watched some of the three musketeers. it was good. oh and dan lent me quicksilver to read. 900 page book, but i'll have plenty of time to read it.
in a few hours, i'm leaving to go to china. 20 hour flight... will be spent sleeping, reading, listening to music, eating, and maybe writing. i'm not too excited about china. not too fond of tours. but then i get to go to hong kong, and see my friend. :) i'll be back the 29th, but then i'm off to a retreat in new york.
about the retreat, prayer request for my friends from church. a band from my church is playing for this retreat of maybe 500 chinese teenagers. there's a lot of pressure on us to be good, cause all the past teams have been. and i could have just as easily been playing, if i were not going to china. two of my high school (no longer) friends are in it, one on drums, and i'm really nervous for her, and one as a vocalist. also for the lead guitarist, ed. i want them to play well. kind of wish now that we are really doing this, that i could be a part of it. backup bassist or something? but i think i'll get to do transparencies. anyway, prayers would be appreciated, cause we need them. -_-
ok i'm off to finish packing. later. :)
