so i saw death cab for cutie and franz ferdinand on sunday. it was awesome. the cribs played, but i wasn't listening.
franz was pretty good, and it was amazing when at one point, they had three people playing (banging on) the drums at once. pretty freakin awesome. i really liked when they played "take me out."
death cab had the most awesome set, with trees and these foamboard house things that lit up. and of course they were awesome. here's the set, with a few songs missing, in as close an order as i can remember.
Marching Bands of Manhattan (great song to open with... i got the beginning of it on my camera :D)
The New Year (i love this song)
Styrofoam Plates
Different Names for the Same Thing
A Movie Script Ending (good song, i called my sister during this one, but she didn't know who was playing haha)
Expo ’86 (another good song)
Title and Registration (and another)
Crooked Teeth
Soul Meets Body (this one was awesome, and i had it stuck in my head for the rest of the night)
What Sarah Said (my song... i like to think he played the piano for me :P)
The Sound of Settling
(encore)
I Will Follow You into the Dark (i really really like this song, and he played it acoustic... so sweet. heh and it reminds me of my friend cause he had it in his profile for the longest time)
Transatlanticism (i didn't know this song before, but it was a good way to end)
i was kinda disappointed that they didn't play a lack of color. but overall, it was totally worth it, the 5 extra bucks i paid for getting it so late (since it sold out after a week). and my first concert with joe, even though we have so much similar in music tastes. what an awesome night.
