Oh, this! The existence of this! ♥ ♥ ♥ I love this song SO MUCH, and it's such a good fit for these two, so when this showed up on my flist I nearly perished of a flail attack. And this is just beautiful editing -- I particularly love the parallel-y individual shots and how seamlessly these two seem to bleed into each other. 0:13-0:23 in particular is just some of the most mindblowingly awesome editing I have ever seen. And the ending, with Morgana lifting the dagger and Merlin lifting Excalibur -- adjfl;adjsl;fkas, AMAZING. Will definitely be rewatching this one, oh, a zillion times. :)
Oh my god, thank you! I agree, this song is fabulous, and so perfect for these two! AND IT'S SO GOOD TO SEE SOMEONE ACTUALLY KNOWS THIS SONG AS WELL LOL.
By the way, I'm a huge fan of your Merlin & Community fics. You're an absolutely incredible writer and "Kindred" is seriously my favourite Merlin/Morgana fics of all time. I JUST WANTED YOU TO KNOW. <3333
Aw, thank you, yay! ♥ I am so happy you like them! Series three was full of stuff that made me grumpy, but all the Merlin/Morgana tension was definitely the high point for me, and it made for such good fic inspiration.
And oh my gosh, that SONG! I went through a period not too long ago where I liked to listen to it overandoverandover on a daily basis, so I absolutely cannot communicate just how giddy I was to see a (glorious!!!!!) M/M vid to it. I very nearly thought I was hallucinating for a minute there.
Merlin and Morgana were definitely one of the best things about series three for me. I had issues with Morgana's characterisation mainly; but every scene she had with Merlin was just so intense and oh my god, their chemistry is ridiculous. <3
LOL, oh gosh, I've listened to this song over 700 times because of this video. I'm fairly sure somewhere along the way, I reset the play count because it was getting a little ridiculous so it's probably a lot more than 700 times, actually. ;)
(Also, hope you don't mind, but I just friended you! 1) To stalk your journal in case you post any more fic, and 2) because you're clearly awesome <3 This is an entirely new account after I disappeared from LJ for about a year so I clearly need to start stalking people again. XD)
Yeah, Morgana's characterization in general disappointed me a lot (the smirking! So much smirking! Never has smirking been so smirky before!) but the stuff with Merlin was EXCELLENT.
