Something I forgot to mention...

So interesting change of events in the life of my family. As you may or may not know, my mom and step dad don't like the city. In fact they've never liked it. I know that Meg will snicker at this, but to them Abbotsford is too big of a city.

They were planning on moving to Van Isle in March for the opening of a new Thyme Maternity (my mom was informed she could have the store). Well my mom's been recruited by the Northwest Company. Rack your brains and you'll remember back in early Highschool (for me it was Mr. Hallam)--or even elementary school, that this was the very first company in Canada that eventually merged with the Hudson Bay Company fur traders.

Anyway, she's been recruited for management and the store could be as far as Tuktoyuktuk (sp?), NWT. You heard right, NORTHWEST TERRITORIES! Other options are Fort Simpson or Hay River, Or Iqualuit (sp?) Nunavut. Her and my step dad plan on heading up around January if all goes through immediately. All food and housing is subsidized by the company. They're going to give a management position to my step dad as well. Combined they'll bring in over $100,000 a year and they can sock it away. The house they get is brand new, with brand new furniture and appliances etc. The company also gives 2 weeks paid holiday and flight to the nearest big city to get away. So needless to say they're excited. They pay for the entire move too.

The catch to everyone would be having to live up north but this is what they've actually always dreamt of. So good luck to them!

On a school note, I received multiple emails back informing me that I have been registered in 2425, 3222, and 3303. Yay for overriding prereq's! AND Dr. Storey (Dept head) has told me I can get credit for 1050 without taking it because I already know all that stuff. Yay again!

I just went over the remaining requirements for my BA and it looks like I have just 10 classes left to take! That's five in Summer and then five in Fall. Dec 2007 I should be complete. YAY! Now to pray that the courses I need will be offered as they're somewhat obscure. Like Field Methods I and II. 7 of those 10 are geography and 4 of those 7 are electives so I'm happy. :) The remaining 3 are history classes and they're all electives as well.
