“Sam, we’re moving.”
Three words. That was all it took to shatter Sam’s world completely. It meant transferring, and it meant braving public school alone. He had no idea how to even begin making sense of everything that his parents were telling him. All he could think was that this couldn’t be happening.
“I’m leaving Dalton.”
Three words. That was all it took to shatter Blaine’s world completely. It meant no more kisses between classes, and it meant falling asleep alone. He couldn’t even begin to imagine what his daily life would be like without Sam. All he could think was that this couldn’t be happening.
“I love you.”
Three words. That was all it took to confirm that they’d fight for what they had. It meant expensive phone bills, and it meant driving back home alone. They couldn’t begin to imagine the changes that they’d each have to make. This shouldn’t be happening, but they’d make it work.
