Author's Notes: A submission for the fourteenth cassidyfanworks drabble prompt (friction). Not my favorite, but I'm trying to get past some writer's block (again!!! gtfooo). Cut lyrics are from Black & Gold because that's always been my Adassidy song :)
When had they gotten to this point? At what moment in time had things shifted from their easy, naturally flowing and deeply loving friendship to this friction-soaked state of barely trying to stay connected? These are the questions that plague him at night.
Cassidy thinks it’s because the love became too much to bare - no longer friendship, but not enough to pull them together. It’s too hard to find the balance right now, that’s what Adam says when he tries to bring it up. Cassidy can only hope that ‘right now’ passes quickly so that they may return to normal.
