I once debated on this topic about whether or not it is the content of the story that makes it a good story. I don't believe it is. There are only a finite amount of things that a story can be about and have the story be substantial - love, pain, growing up. What makes a story good is not what it is about, but the way it is written. Here, you take a common topic - choosing between loving someone and being in love with someone - and create a story around it. What I think makes your story good is the way you mold the characters into your world, but you keep their true personal identities as well. Insert example: Michael's lies are so fluid, so believable, that Jason could cry. He wonders how many times Michael has done the same to him. Fed him believable lies just to keep him strung along. Jason's eyelids flutter as Michael's fingertips trace shapes against his back. I think that Michael could lie through his teeth and have anyone believe it; you take this part of him and make it into part of your story that is johnstro!. And apply to the rest of your stories with appropriate examples.

On a [much shorter] side note, being the cookstro shipper I am, I was like, DAVID GO SAVE JASON, EXCLAMATION POINT. Lol. Then, also being the cynical person I am, I was like, MICHAEL'S LYING TO YOU JASON; HIS WIFE'S ABOUT TO CALL, EXCLAMATION POINT. xD That would've been a horrible end, haha; yours was much better.

I'm ...pretty sure that's a good thing. Right? ^^;

Hmmm. I can totally get that. There are only so many plots that you can write about. A story is more how you write it, not what you write. But you also can't just write something entirely on characterization, either.

I agree 100%. There's just something about Michael. He's just got that charm, or something. You just want to believe him.

^^; I did consider bringing Cookie into this, but then I decided I was in need of a Johnstro-happy ending. :D
Hope you don't mind. Lol. <33

Thank you for the long comment! :D!

Of course. :) I didn't mean it as characterization was all you need... It's one of the important things, definitely, but so is the syntax, the language, the created tension, etc. I, however, thought that your creation of characters excelled (and was easier to find an example :P).

Lol, darn that Michael, making us all fall for him and then be like "I'm married! *points at ring*"
