Random excursion on the road, away from responsibilities, away from biochem. I was intrigued by the movie, its beauty and complexities and so I decided to track down Mulholland drive.
The In and Out burger cooling in the passenger seat, I plowed into the busy 405N freeway, trailed a space ship grounded on the flatbed of a large truck, found a large bouquet of dead flowers honoring its livng friends, and hugged the edges of a canyon that looked onto a smoky city.
The road wound like a convoluted love story, and kept the abysmal secrets of the rich and the richer. I stopped on a scenic bit of land, got out of the car, and inspected my wheels. Why I ever did such a thing I dont exactly remember, except that maybe I was looking for a french fry lost in the dust.
Reaching its zenith of beauty at dusk, the sun signaled for me to leave. I came home and relished the simple pleasure of a drive and all the little random things that are so amusing.
