I’ve been contacting former employers regarding reference recommendations. I wasn’t sure if CMV Yakima was still open or not - I called their number, and sure enough, they are (open). In addition to new releases on VHS, the store is now allowed to rent DVDs and games. The relocation has one-year to prove itself. The current manager assured me that he’d give me an excellent recommendation, and would himself consider hiring me to work at CMV Yakima sometime, except that he’d prefer to go out with me, and has a new rule these days about not dating employees...

What is a man thinking, when you’ve just finished telling him that you are desperate for employment, and his response is to deny you employment in the hopes that you will sleep with him?
I certainly hope that the CMV marketing schemes for the new store are more insightful than the sensitivity of current management’s pick-up lines.
