yes, darling

Johnny's sitting on the couch pounding out a new song which is littered with minor chords and has a cool dark feel to it. I think I like songs like that the best. Pop came over for dinner tonight, and amazingly enough, my cooking withheld the test. It was great having him over. I miss seeing my family.

Today was a wonderful hang out day. Usually we're ridiculously busy, running around like mad, but today we slept in and piddled around the house, mostly cleaning and getting tax info together. (I doing the former, JB doing the latter.) I actually didn't leave the house once today, and I loved it. I can't take the cold, and I just wanted to enjoy my home a little bit.

Tomorrow, if this blizzard doesn't cancel it out, I'll be hosting this Valentine's Day Fundraising Dinner at church. I hated the idea of a red and pink themed cheesy event, so I got amazing decorations and a really good caterer, and hopefully it'll rock the casbah. It's supposed to be a celebration of God's love for His bride, as opposed to Cupids and kissing frogs and mylar balloons.

I have dishpan hands and I'm proud of them. I feel like they're wifey battle scars.
