Nostalgia
The commercials for the new Winnie the Pooh movie are really starting to make me tear up; it's definitely a nostalgia thing which I suspect the commercials are trying really hard to play up.
First, the song the commercial uses is Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know" which is one of the most nostalgic songs I have ever heard. Second, one of the commericals ends with the text: "We miss them." (Which is usually when the tears start, though sometimes it's just from hearing that song in the background of scenes)
I don't know why these pangs of nostalgia are happening lately (it's the same thing that happens when I see commercials for the last Harry Potter movie); probably because I used to really love Tigger and Eeeyore when I was younger.
