[There's not a whole lot of preamble here- Osaka just switches on her 'gear and starts talking, looking VERY SERIOUS as she sits in the Pokecenter.]
So I was just wonderin'... Squirtle's a water-type, right? An' it's this tiny turtle that evolves into Wartortle an' Blastoise? I kinda get the 'tortle' part of Wartortle, and the 'blast' part of Blastoise, but Blastoise's still a big old turtle that swims in the ocean, right? They got shots of Blastoises swimmin' on TV all the time, next to Starmies an' Staryus an' Lapras and stuff.
So why's Blastoise got 'tortoise' in its name if it's a swimmin' Pokemon and everythin'? If you throw a tortoise into a lake or ocean or somethin'... it'll sink like a rock. And Blastoises named themselves Blastoises, right? Like all the other Pokemon out there who kinda sound like they're sayin' their own names?
I wonder if they started out as horrible swimmers, an' put the 'toise' in their names to tell all the other water-types not to push 'em into the water. Like they were tryin' to say, "hey, I might seriously drown if you push me in, because I'm a tortoise." I bet the poor Blastoises got ordered into swimming by all the water kings runnin' around. Like.. Slowking, Kingdra, Seaking, Kingler...

Oh... so THAT'S why they got for water-type kings. If you get four-of-a-kind kings, you got almost anything else beat...!
