Makes him look very erudite and clever. Hmm...you could do a nice AU where Sam turns into this cute little professor type and Gene has to cope with his very odd Sam who can't shoot, can't fight, but is very shaggable. I have just such a weird imagination.....
well, I couldn't actually do that, because i'm flat out writing short posts and adoring feedback - you're the writer! so feel free to make 'odd Sam' do odder things in a lovely little fic ..
and don't stifle that weird imagination ... its the weird parts that make it imaginative !!
Yes to both. He's gorgeous in State of Play, the stubble *definitely* works, and the glasses make him look cute...although watching Sex Crimes is a hard slog, talk about depressing. What did you think about his character in Forgive and Forget?
the sexual abuse was tough to watch, but sweet, sensitive and teary simm saved the girl, and made it all better in the end ;)
I could really see where the character was coming from in Forgive and Forget - His reaction was as much about the deception as it was about his friends sexuality .. He was angry because of the lies and manipulation, the attempt to destroy his relationship with the gal etc ... I really dont think the bashing he gave the guy at the end was homophobically motivated at all ... he treated him the same way he would have gay or straight i think.
Tho the shock of the coming out on telly thing may have amplified the reaction a little
Theres a scene - on the rooftop, where they hug, which made me cry so hard ... my heart just ached for him.
Yeah, I was curious about that - half the reviews I read about it on Amazon spoke about how disappointed they were in the end...the violence of the attack, and how it could be seen to celebrate homophobia if looked in a certain light. I'm with you on this one, and it has more to do with how Theo initially reacts, talking to him about his *dad's* disappointment at the very start of the scene, his tone isn't particularly spiteful. He spazzes out more about the deception, and the trust issues, than the sexuality. That David hadn't trusted him from the start; that David had abused the trust Theo had shown him, or at least, that's how I always saw it. But I think a homophobic reaction is something Theo could come to grips with better. He comes from the type of environment that would say it's more manly to be homophobic than to be 'girly' upset about lying... if that makes sense. I actually enjoyed the show, I loved the patience David has toward him, teaching him how to be a plasterer, and how Theo *was* remarkably open. If I was to

been crazy-busy with work and dog showing and kids ... hardly have time to even scratch anymore, but i've been making a real effort to be on LJ more, because i have a new fandom which i adore, and i don't wanna be left behind :D
We should try and catch up at some point (won't have time before xmas) but afterwards maybe ... even if its just coffee at Morayfield or something.
