Conspicuous Consumption
Yesterday I had to turn my A/C on (on Fan, not Cool, to get some air movement happening, because the open balcony door wasn't stirring the air at all). In bloody March. Now, technically I just turned a fan on, not really an A/C. But what are technicalities when I have have my A/C turned on on the last day of Winter?
The new Double Down commercial. This is the second KFC commercial that leaves me thinking "What the hell were they trying to sell, because it doesn't seem to be food?" First the really weird Carl, classic Carl and now You know I'm home, right?. Both have me foxed. I must be getting too old, brain not working.
I got lit up today. It's been a while. Now it was a sensible constructive new-school lighting up, not the old-school finger-in-the-chest style well-loved by movie-goers everywhere. Still, it's been a while. It was deserved, sort of, and I'm the top of the local pyramid, I'm on point for things like this even if it wasn't. Still, kind of refreshing. no, not refreshing. Bracing.
