Happy America Day, Americans!
In other news, after wandering downtown for a hair cut, I rounded out the Tau army today.
In computer games, my Bloodbowl Team (Chaos) is 15 wins, 1 draw, and 0 losses. Over 30 TDs scored, only 5 ever scored against me. Who's the King of D? Me. Time to start playing on Hard I think.
As you can see, everything is coming up Games Workshop.
In other, non-game news (gasp!) today Dad came over and (and a real gasp here) actually allowed me to build the shelves in the front closet. Under his direct supervision of course, he hasn't changed that much. But it's nice to know he trusts his 43 year old son with his power tools.
Then it was off to the parents house for BBQ Steak-Pirko and corn and baked spuds and all that good stuff, eating out on the patio like we used to do at the old house. The weather was perfect, and it was an idyllic, relaxing meal.
Tonight I should write scenario, do dishes, do laundry, vacuum ... and do a million other little things. I don't know if I'm actually going to do any of that. I might read, watch Spooks, try out this True Blood everyone's been talking about, or maybe take in the first season of The Wire again.
Oh. I hate my sister. Do you know why? Because she introduced me to the wonderful, detailed, insightful TV episode reviews of
Alan Sepinwall. I can't stop reading these ... his insights on Band of Brothers were good, his comments on The Wire have me all in a bother to re-watch what I regard as the best show ever made for TV.
I feel like a walk in the park. So I think I'll go get a coffee at the store across the park.
Doug.
