Man, I thought I should wait until I get a real fighting type pokemon until I can get a win from Whitney...

That's where they were before.

They're hard as hell to catch though. Or it might have been the little idiot I was traveling with scaring them away.

So, I'll just have to hope that they won't run away from the snow... And maybe I'll keep my Arcanine away from the sight while I'm there. [Unless other pokemon would find it useful outside battles in winter, so they won't freeze to death!]

[Hey, you're talking to a little kid who'd usually scare everything away! But he can be somewhat smart when it's pokemon in questions!] True, they are hard as hell to catch which just sounds like a fun challenge to me! Anyway, I'll just go there and stay there as long as it takes to catch either a Bulbasaur or a Treecko~. No problem.

Thanks, mister!

Good luck kid.

If you have a strong enough water type you might be able to lure them out with that. It's a little warmer in the forest, since it shoulders against most of the wind. Or a fellow plant type.

Thanks! I'll definitely catch a grass type from that forest, or see if someone's selling eggs... No, catching my own might be a better idea. [Who cares about egg moves?]

...I guess a very strong Feraligatr can do that, yes. I don't have any plant types, yet, but I will have one sooner or later!

Does your feraligatr have any ice moves?

...Just one, Ice Fang - does that help somehow?

Yes. Plant pokemon are weak to ice attacks.

...Oh right. That's true. So I'll either freeze them or grill them - sounds kinda unfair. Maybe someone from my team can just tackle and quick attack them. [Not Pikachu, electric stuff won't work against them...]

Anyway, I forgot ice, so thanks for reminding me about it!

Yeah, good luck. If nothing else, you can try luring them out with a weak pokemon and switching to a stronger one. It's good for training too.
