You know that feeling when you realize that the day turned out much better than you expected it to? I love that feeling.
I got the broadway soundtrack to Phantom of the Opera from the library. I decided that the music is amazing, but the lyrics piss me off. Lots of people would think I'm being stupid for this, but it really bugs me when songs don't have any rhyme, especially something operatic like that. The only major exceptions that come to mind are Queen and David Bowie. It also bugs me when poetry doesn't rhyme, but I'm more willing to let that slide. Andrew Lloyd Weber is rich enough that he can afford to hire a lyricist who has talent.
For more information on rhyming, go see almost any other musical there is (Chicago, Les Mis, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Spamalot, et cetera). But not Rent. Rent's lyrics suck too; they don't rhyme.
Now that I've thoroughly pissed off several of my friends, I'd like to point out that City of the Lost Children is freaking amazing. I only watched twenty minutes of it to stay awake last night, but man oh man is it cool.
Crazy French movies kick ass.
Oh yeah, and Chuck Norris jokes are lame. (Apparently, they're popular now.)
