Okay, so I know I've been on about going vegetarian for like, months. And I'm sorta halfway there - I don't eat red meat. I'm really serious about doing this, but I don't really know how to go about it. I've figured out that I basically have two main problems - I live with a bunch of meat eaters, and I don't really know what to cook to make sure I have a well balanced meal. The first point won't be a problem after April, since I'm moving back home where there is less pressure to eat meat (due to the Joel presence) and next year I will be living separately from my carnivore friends. The second point I was hoping you guys could help me out with. Do you know of any good vegetarian cookbooks or recipes? I'm hoping to find things that don't have a lot of expensive ingredients. I like tofu a lot, but I know of very few ways to marinate it or work with it. And I can steal the Juice for Life cookbooks from Joel - their recipes can be a little pricey, though. So any suggestions on any of these points would be much appreciated. Also, please note that I'm afraid of soy milk for no justifiable reason. I bought a carton of chocolate So Nice and it's been sitting on my shelf for like a month because I'm afraid I'll hate it :P What a reason, eh? :P
PS: Morag, it's offical: I lost the vegetarian haggis recipe. I'm sorry. I'll try to find another one for you.
Anyway, thanks for any help you can provide. And don't go see Be Cool - apparently Get Shorty is better (I haven't seen it, but I've been told that Be Cool is just a watered down version of Get Shorty).
