Mussel Fatigue
A low-key day off, really. Just L-SP, her Mother & I on a little driving trip out to the south western suburbs, then back to the Sydney Fish Market for a light, early lunch. We then bought an absolute shit tonne (okay, only about 3 kilos) of fresh mussels, took them back to Mother's place & probably ate about a kilo each. Which isn't as bad as it sounds... pretty sure that kilo was about 750 grams of shell. Anyway - delicious!!
The sun was out for a while today, but it's turned cold again tonight & there's a severe weather warning for the east coast, including Sydney, so more wild winds, waves & rains on the way. Given I seem to have been at work every time the storms have arrived lately, here's one I caught a little while ago - just as the sheet lightning lit up the cloud
Back to work tomorrow for 2 days, before my 2nd day off. May try to play some music with either of my current collaborators, if they're free... seeing my friend's band last weekend has given me an itch...
