Man, it's hot 'round here at the moment... We're having a bit of a heatwave which, in the middle of a crippling drought, seems a little unfair, if not a tad excessive on the part of Mother Nature
The news is full of the usual stories - road surfaces melting, train tracks warping... The one good thing you can say about the heat, is it's dry - as there's been no rain to speak of for a while, so humidity isn't making this any worse than it has to be. And, mercifully, there haven't been any bushfires
Tomorrow is expected to be the apex of the heatwave, with temperatures getting into the mid 40s centigrade (do your own conversion - it's bloody hot is all I'll say!!), but the expectation of a cool change in the evening & a milder weekend. A shame, then, that I'll be spending most of the day in a small windowless warehouse, lugging, carrying, transporting, dumping, repeat... until it looks more like a warehouse & less like a teenager's bedroom. The Summer weight loss program starts tomorrow, whether I like it or not...
Have a picture of our other cat...
