Alrighty, now. Here we are into the vintage Cher era, the summer of 1965, with her first hit record, "All I Really Wanna Do."
7:44PM
I remember while trying to take these pictures, my hands wouldn't stop shaking because I didn't have any energy at all.
9:45PM
haha in my head i was like, "dammit, vinny, hold still!" but i couldn't. bethanne had to resort to taking some pictures for me, but not these. i was just bouncing around. hehe.
9:45PM
One thing I noticed was that she changed her medley outfit. This outfit used to have a purple top with a "peace" necklace, and the pants used to be magenta, purple, teal and black striped. these have pink and green, but it still looks great.
9:45PM
So now for Part 2 of the medley, Cher sings "Half-Breed," a number one record for two weeks in 1973!! She was in our section a lot for this song. hence the amazing picture below:
9:46PM
This picture must be one of the clearest and best Cher pictures I have ever taken. The background of the screen with her from 1973 juxtaposed with the current Cher singing is just great, and of course, you have the live Cher right in front of you!!
9:46PM
Ironically, this pictures was taken at 9:46...46 has always been a lucky number for both Kaitie and me, and we always used to relate 46 to Cher because she was born in 1946. ALso, half of 46 is 23, and Kaitie was born on the 23rd of September. Isn't that nuts?
9:48PM
Part 3 of the medley was also a #1 song in 1971, "Gypsys, Tramps and Thieves." Come to think of it, it was Cher's first solo #1 song. This song was also #1 for two weeks. whee!
9:48PM
The final song, Part 4 of the medley is "Dark Lady," another #1 song from 1974. "Half - Breed" and "Dark Lady" were released one after the other, therefore, Cher had 2 back-to-back #1 songs!
9:53PM
Cher goes in for a costume change while they show the "Friends" montage, Cher with all of her celebrity friends, including the Jacksons, Elton John, Tina Turner and David Bowie. It then leads into the ever so sexy, "Take Me Home."
9:54PM
This was during the line-dancing routine they do in the middle, and of course, I did it myself. When i was 8th row on 4/29/03, I was doing it in my area, and Cher saw me! She gave me a look as if to say, "I'm impressed!" and then since she had to turn, she started laughing at me because I was nuts! it was so fun!
9:55PM
I can tell by the lights and the dancer's movements that this is the end of the song.
9:55PM
The only negative thing about "Take Me Home" on the Farewell Tour is that she is only out for 87 seconds. :( and its so fun to dance to! ah, well, it was good. I got my "Take Me Home" line dancing done in my aisle, and I felt accomplished.
9:55PM
I decided to put this in because I couldn't think of anybody who wouldn't want to see two black men and two white men grinding in tight red pants during a costume change at a Cher concert. hehe.
9:55PM
And the sexiness with fake red wigs and half-naked men continues... haha. The 3 final costume changes and the post-show of me will come soon! You won't want to miss the post-show. it's quite humorous how i look.
Anybody in for a big trip to see Cher in Albany on 11/24?? I wanna get a big group together and go up there. Unfortunately, and strange...its the day before Thanksgiving.. hmm.. if anybody has any ideas or thoughts to contribute that would be great. and rides are always appreciated! haha. i'm talking about this, and the date is still unconfirmed. oh well.
