[A - Action, locked to 1486 Kramden Road]
[So she woke up in a completely foreign building, all by her lonesome? That’s... NOT GOOD. Being suddenly bereft of her favorite hammer and bow, Sue grabs the nearest thing she can possibly find that will substitute as a weapon: a bed-side lamp. She then ventures out into the house, tip toe-ing around ( Read more... )

[Her 'sister' assumed she had the house to herself, and had thusly broken into her secret stash of junk food. She'll be sprawled on the living room couch with a chocolate bar and halfheartedly reading a magazine, oblivious of Sue's existence.]

[Well that's confusing... why would someone go to the trouble of kidnapping a person and then be completely oblivious to them? Maybe this isn't what Sue thought it was.

She stays behind the couch, just in case. Better to keep her distance.]

Um... hello?

[Ami starts at that, jumping a little before she sees Sue. Then she just peers over the couch kind of... confused too.]

What are you doing in here?

[Sue jumps a little when Ami does and she pulls the lamp in front of her defensively.]

I-I don't know! I went to bed in Parm and I woke up here! Where is here? And how'd I get here?

[Oh, a newcomer. That made more sense.]

Well, I don't really know how any of us get here but... this city is called Mayfield. And this place is supposed to be your new home. [she tries her best to look reassuring as she smiles] It sounds crazy, I know.

It's supposed to be like 1950's America, and there's a lot of people like us. Kidnapped and put into new families. There's also a bunch of mindless drones around that I'd stay away from... The town is kind of moody too, so you never really know what might happen. There's a lot to learn, but you'll pick up on it soon.

I'm not sure where 'America' is... or what 'the 1950s' are...

And what do you mean, the town is moody?

Oh, it's a country and time on earth. Not everyone here is from the same world. Most aren't, actually. And Mayfield can be sort of nice and peaceful, but it'll always stir up something...

Sorry, stop me if this gets to be too much. I know I was really scared when I got here too.

So, you're saying that I got kidnapped along with a ton of other people... to another world?

...why would someone do that?

To be honest... I have no idea. We can guess, but I don't know how many answers there are to find. On the bright side, almost everyone kidnapped is pretty nice, and someday people from your world might show up.

...well, then I guess I'm just going to have to come out of retirement! I said I wasn't going to do any more adventuring until I got older, but it's not like this is my fault, right? I didn't ask to get stuck here more than anyone else did.

Hey, there isn't like, an Adventurer's Society already set up here, is there?

[Well, this kid had spunk. Ami's a little impressed.]

Mm, I don't think so.

That's alright. The Adventurer's Society back home was totally lame anyways. That president was a complete sell out... and he tried to force someone to marry him. Can you believe that?

Maybe I'll try and start one myself. Would you be interested in joining, miss?
