wow.
i read a lot of LJs that belong to people that are still at FW and it really makes me miss the simple things about high school. Like never really having to really do homework, or getting to hang out after school. I havent been to the tucson mall in forever, and i must admit, i rather miss it. Dont get me wrong, here in my dorm-my new home- I have made some of the best friends of my life. These are the people i know i will correspond with for the rest of my life. Im glad i met them because other than them, life after high school pretty much sucks. The friends here are worth the school work and early classes. All that just for the weekends in mexico or any other time with them. yes we are the norm as far as college kids go, partying and drinking but i know that seeing eachother shitfaced has really caused us to become closer as friends because we can look at each other and not be ashamed but only laugh. These people have become
my family and i wouldnt trade any one of them for any amount of fame, popularity or money. even if josh is big and loud and sort of like a dumb animal.
Alex, though, i really have to say is someone i care the most about here. peoples assumptions of male/female relationships create this bullshit expectation that girls and guys cant be really good friends without a sexual relationship. I think alex and i counteract that assumption really well. I see him sad and if i cant cheer him up ill become sad with him because thats what friends are for. He appreciates me more than a lot of my friends in life ever have. Yes weve only known each other for a month or two, but living with someone this close, talking to them all the time, going day to day with them right down the hall does make you a lot closer than just having class or just seeing someone around school. He is the greatest dude i have met here so far. And the only girl here id have to say i honestly trust is my roommate. She is fan-fucking-tastic. i believe anyone who knows me must meet these two amazing people because they are now a part of my life without a doubt.
