Today I did something I haven't done in quite some time.
I rented a movie.
It was "A Series of Unfortunate Events," which I've been a little afraid to watch because I like the books so much and because I don't trust Jim Carrey to not overpower a role.
The verdict: I... liked it.
I'm pleasantly surprised. I think Sunny was a little too saucy and they could've picked a better Klaus and Mr. Poe should've been coughing a whole lot more, but other than that? I liked it. I liked the casting, I liked the tone, I liked most of the changes they made, and I liked Jim Carrey as Count Olaf. I hope they continue the series.
