Excellent weekend

It's been an action-packed weekend - at least in comparison to my usual bum-about-inside-in-my-PJs weekends.

Friday night was Sidetrack night with the usual gang and two of Lauren's Borders peeps. And JASON showed up completely unexpectedly! Awesome. Do that more often, Jason! Or show up completely expectedly. That works too.

Then we had a sleepover at Lauren's. I'm still in love with her new place. She has an accent wall. I think it could be a complete dump, and that little detail would make me love it. But it isn't a complete dump.

Then yesterday I drove into the country near Grand Rapids for Dave and Kelly's wedding. I was wondering why they were having it in Grand Rapids instead of the Ypsi-Arbor area, but when I saw Kelly's parents' big, gorgeous farmhouse, I understood. My god, what a place!

I found a couple of Echo people and I was set. Drew became my date. We were wearing matching outfits for some reason.

The outdoor ceremony was nice, and very Dave and Kelly. The priest at one point referenced "Jerry Maguire," and a teenage girl and two younger boys sang "My Girl." Mike was in the ceremony, which made it even cooler.

After the ceremony, we ate food, listened to nice speeches and good music, and explored the lovely house. Later in the evening, Dave and Kelly threw flaming torches at each other. It's a camp thing.

All in all, a fun and happy event for two fun and happy people.

Now I'm back home watching the Food Network. It's morning, so I'm watching the cooks nobody has ever heard of. My sleep schedule seems to have magically normalized over the past week. It's kind of freaking me out.

fun, friends, sidetrack
