Between working at the comic store for last minute cash, calling relatives and wishing them all happy holidays and getting caught up in long-winded interrogations about his life (school, love, how Matthew was doing, was he still driving the broken down old motorcycle ect.), Alfred had watched Christmas come and go in a haze of cooking pies and watching his brother smile like a dork 24/7 since Christmas Eve.
But that wasn't going to stop him from completing the tradition of finding gifts and leaving them at people's houses. He was like Santa! just on a motorcycle and less chubby.
The first place he stopped was his house, obviously. That little trek all over Canada and most of America a few months back at led to a collection of phone numbers and IOUs which would all come in handy later on in the year. For now, all Mattie got was a borin' ol' plane ticket to Edmonton and two tickets to the
USA/Canada game on New Years' Eve.
Next up was Emi and John. Easy enough, really! John needed a sweet new pair of
shades for his directing or just generally looking rad and Emi- well Emi was harder but not too much harder. Day at the day with some massage and facial bullshit. Anything to get her relaxed when she got all stressed and mean during school, plus everyone liked being pampered once in a while.
For Ivan, it was simple enough. A business card for a local shooting range with his own messy scrawl on the back.
I found a place with a dragunov. Let's make it a date.
Easy peasy. Just like Arthur and Dewi's gift was. All wrapped up, he left a
small angel on their front porch and hoped they'd get a kick out of it. In the same vein of nerdom, Alfred picks up copies of 4e D&D for Kiku, but holds onto it. He'll have something nice to come back form vacation too!
Elizaveta was a tough one and he wasn't really sure what to get her because he didn't really know her. And there was his solution! Getting her a dorky Christmas card, he tucked in a small certificate for "One Free Day With Alfred F. Jones!". He was tempted to give this one to more people but he figured they'd spend time with him anyway. For Remy, he found
something nice while having his face pressed up against the glass. He thought it would look good in her hair!
Outside Nico's apartment, he left a
small package all wrapped up in twine. He hoped it would fit, she was hard to gauge in size :/.
On his way back home, Alfred makes a stop by Berwald/Sindre's place and drops off a dumb apology card (sorry i've been irresponsible and all that but w/e) and a flashdrive filled with Merlin and other shows he found, demanding a movie date some time.
Finally, he stops by Valdi's door and delivers, wrapped only with a stuck on bow, a carton of eggnog.
