Is it funny that now that I'm in college I feel more like a kid than ever before?
Painting with fingers, coloring, making silly simple art projects, playing dinosaurs and practicing cartwheels with the North Star kids, climbing trees, going into the woods and imagining elaborate fantastical quests, playing circus games out on the lawn, walking bearfoot all over the place, getting back in touch with the curious and extraordinary imagination I had when I was 9...
And my first time ever roleplaying (yes, D&D style) at Deathfest last night - I was Ampersand, a divine being, slippery character, with the ability to topple kingdoms with only my words (though not much use in battle), I convinced an crowd of timid villagers to form an angry mob and attack the werewolves with the key to the castle.. I made it to the second round but was eventually killed off by zombie pirates while playing Guildenstern in Hamlet.
I think I will always stay young at heart, playing is important and good for the soul!
