I've always considered my goal for my life and career to be as creative and "out there" as possible. I thought looking into becoming a cruise ship photographer or a truck driver (both of which I've thoroughly and seriously considered) were pretty creative...until today.
I took my job search a step further and might have just stumbled upon the greatest ideas I've ever had. Yes...ideas...plural...more than one. It's wonderful!
So here, for your enjoyment (or not) is another list of jobs I am seriously considering for the next few years...
- Skydiving Photographer - Attend the New Zealand Skydiving School and receive a diploma in commercial skydiving to be a skydiving photographer. Yes, that job actually exists. And I want it. It's a 32-week program with classes and 200 jumps and then they help you get a job with a commercial skydiving company. Aaaaaamazing!
- Organic Farmer - Move to Corfu, Greece (it's a Greek island off the northwest corner of Greece) and live in a hostel by the beach named Sunrock Backpackers for free and work on an organic farm run by the hostel. I would take care of sheep, cows, pigs and chickens, pick olives, and tend to grapevines. All for a measly ten euro a day (300 a month), but I'd get free living costs, three free homecooked meals a day (all organic food that I'd helped farm!) and free transportation from the hostel to the farm everyday...so it'd all be pocket money! It's seven hours a day for seven days a week, but holy cow...what an experience! You have to be under 25, so I'd need to get on this pretty fast. The longest you have to commit is a month...anyone interested in doing this with me?
- Live-In Hostel Receptionist/Tour Guide - Live and work in Hostel Aphrodite (or any hostel for that matter) in Athens, Greece. Not nearly as exciting as the other two, but definitely something that would be an experience. Staying in a hostel while backpacking through Europe is one thing...but living in one...well...that might just be nuts. I might like it...for a while.
So...what do you think? 1, 2 or 3?
