I think Forbidden Kingdom is. American movie, which means they'll ruin the chinese culture in the movie, which having them speak English already ruins it. Think bout Rush Hour series, or Unleash, where Jet Li becomes a dog.
Well I'm Chinese, and compare Rush Hour Series, Shanghai Knights, or whatever. with Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, House of Flying Daggers, Hero, Wong Fei Hung Series, Chinese movies made with Chinese director seemed to have a better understanding of the culture in the film.
So compare Forbidden Kingdom with Jet Li/ANdy Lau new Movie, The WarLords, I Greatly Approve Warlords over Forbidden Kingdom...not meaning I don't want to watch it,
But check it out urself and tell me what you think.
