Or!

Readability Rating. Or index. That might work better than the wanting to find out what happens next index or the cannot put down factor.

The Readability Rating would take those qualities, along with, perhaps, others that are Yet To Be Determined and assign a number between 0 - 10. This would not necessarily be an indication of my enjoyment of the book, which would probably have to be a completely different scale. Some of my favorite books would have a low Readability Rating, but are just SO good, even if they're hard to read, that they are favorites. Enjoyability would be high, Readability would be low. Other books have a high Readability but a very very low Enjoyability.

In conclusion:
Readability = WTFOWHN, CPD, and YTBD factors (spelling, grammar and other things that hold up one's ability to read a book; pacing; level of detail; et cetera)
Enjoyability = How much did I like this book?

Examples:
The new Mark Danielewski (I know I spelled that wrong) book: 0.0/10.0 RR; 0.0/10.0 ER If one cannot get past page one, then there is a problem.
James Joyce books, in general: 0.3/10.0 RR; 0.0/10.0 ER
Harry Potter books, in general: 10.0/10.0 RR; 10.0/10.0 ER
Even Cowgirls Get the Blues: 4.0/10.0 RR; 8.4/10.0 ER

This is probably the best idea ever.

One could also use this for "Listenability" on CDs and albums.

Amazing!

totally dorky
