Christ, it's true, noone's posting anymore. And I haven't been reading much lately.
Nothing out of the ordinary for me to say. Sach and I are still with each other and we're into our 20th month of togetherness now.
I've got a puppy now, his name is Monty. He's a tri-coloured (mostly black with a white and tan underside) cavalier King Charles spaniel crossed with a mini poodle... Also referred to as a cavoodle. A bit of a wanky designer hybrid really, but he is so darn cute. Very nippy, a prime example of an ankle/toe/finger biter. When he runs, he bounces and resembles a sheepling.
I've gotten into lawn bowls lately. Fun sport to do with the elderly as they have many stories to tell and aren't afraid of taking the piss out of you out of fear that they will lose your respect. Unapologetically, they do it because you probably deserve it, or you are real crappy at lawn bowls. Still, I like it best when they do it to each other. Mean old people banter.
Art is still a true love of mine. I obtained one high distinction and the rest distinctions this semester which I am proud of. And I thank JustinG and Nancy for the Dead Caesar invite as I love theatre too. I bought a couple of tickets for Sach and I to go see Barry McGovern perform some highlights of Samuel Beckett's plays. Very very existentialist good. Standing ovation good. We even mingled with some learned older people during the intermission. They were wearing sandals.
I hate Roselyn Oxley9 gallery. Not because of its art (which isn't all that good sometimes) but because it's in a deep dark valley in Paddington.
Sach and I went to the Blue Mountains a fortnight ago and stayed with Jew and her beau, the revered Mushroom Dave. We were treated to a tour of Dave's botanist love (mostly rocket, blueberries and flesh-eating plants), chicken schnitzel and potato salad, UV-light-treated art pieces for doofs, and stories of many doofs and drug-filled adventures!! So nice and relaxing.
Christmas was fun. Boxing Day was my family and Sach's family together for dinner. Allen (Sach's grandfather) was drunk, naturally, and loved my parents for they are also alcoholics and they celebrated by drinking expensive scotch whiskey.
Today is Australia Day, and I am going to see Casino Royale, go play bowls with my brother and going to Travis' Australia Day Party. I will see you all then.
