If I say I'm seeing someone along with the words "I don't sleep with multiple people at a time" that does not mean that it's okay to ask if I want to come over and hook up. I don't care what our history is/was. I don't care how charming you are or think you are, it's not happening.
Just because two people haven't yet had "the talk," this doesn't mean that they're not monogamous on principle.
I don't have a concrete reason as to why this bothers me, but it does.
