Wouldn't be bad except the heat in my apartment isn't working (at all).
The building uses a central boiler and hot-water heat. A pipe is run along the outside wall of each unit, inside a radiator just above the floor. Even though the control knob in my apartment is turned to fully open (It has been since they shut off the heat in the spring), the pipe and radiator are cold to the touch.
I called maintenance, and they should be here any time. Val is on her way home from work, and I'm thinking we're going to eat a quick dinner and then head to Home Depot to look at options for a space heater.
I'm thinking a little $20 one, and I can always put a fan behind it to circulate the warmth.
