Dear Intrawest / Whistler-Blackcomb.
When I have a day off in the middle of the Olympics, I recognise that there may be crowds. There might even be line ups for the lifts. This is acceptable to me as a professional in the adventure tourism industry. I am prepared for this.
However.
Spending an hour and a half in the rental shop is not something I am happy to do on a half-day off. A reasonable business person would ensure there are more than: 2 persons helping with boots; 1 person working snowboards; 3 persons working skiis,(which I didn't need, but they had a longer line than board rentals) and; 1 person working the cash.
I recognise that the Whistler-Blackcomb property will be up for sale following the olympics, however perhaps the issue identified in this letter can be applied to your other properties, to prevent their fall.
Sincerely unhappy with his single half-run down Blackcomb,
Me.
