Time started: 12:42 pm Hawaii time
Name: Sandra
Nickname: waffle
Single or Taken: Err...unknown
Gender: wahine
Birthday: 20 Dec 1983. A Tuesday.
Siblings: Two younger brothers, who are now *both* in college! Hurray!
Shoe size: 7 1/2 or 8 depending on the shoe
Height: 5', on a good day
What are you wearing right now: blue striped seersucker pajama pants, and an ugly, gaudy sleeveless shirt mom bought for me that I wear only around the house because I don't like it
Where do you live?: Seattle, WA, but I'm in Hawaii right now
Righty or lefty: Righty. Unless you're talking politics.
Favorite cartoon character: I like Hello Kitty. I don't know if she counts. I used to like to watch Doug on Nickelodeon, so Doug, otherwise.
Given anyone a bath: Sort of. More of a shower.
Have you ever smoked: Once. I took one puff, coughed my lungs out, and never did it again. You wanna keep kids from smoking? Give them a cigarette.
Bungee Jumped: No, I am a Chicken.
Parasailed: No, but this one sounds fun!
Made yourself throw-up: Not exactly. When I'm sick and feel like throwing up, I try to because it brings relief. But I'm not sure whether I was going to throw up anyway, and my trying to didn't actually make a difference.
Gone skinny dipping: No, unless you count hot tubs.
Been in the opposite sex's bathroom: Yes, when the girls' room line is too long.
Eaten a dog biscuit: Not...yet.
Loved someone so much it made you cry: Iunno. Maybe.
Played truth or dare: Yeah, and my stomach still hurts from the "scrambled eggs topped with every cafeteria condiment and salad dressing" I was forced to eat...ten years ago. I only pick "truth" these days.
Been in a physical fight: Yeah.
Been in a police car: No.
Been in a hot tub: Yes
Swam in the ocean: Yes
Fallen asleep in school: All too often, unfortunately.
Ran away: Yes, multiple times. Unfortunately, due to my weakness for books, mom always knew where to find me. And these days, there are cell phones, which I...eventually break down and answer, stupid me.
Broken someone's heart: If I have, I don't know it.
Cried when someone died: No. No one close to me has ever died. *knocks on wood*
Flashed someone: Not intentionally, though I embarrassingly, unintentionally flashed a group of my students once... o.O;;;
Cried in school: All the time
Fell off your chair: Probably, though I don't remember it
Sat by the phone all night waiting for a call: No. I don't wait for calls even when people specifically tell me, "I will call you Tuesday evening at 6:54 pm" because I don't want to be disappointed, so I just go and mind my own business and pretend it's a pleasant surprise if they do call
Saved MSN / AOL / AIM conversations: Just a warning to you all, yes, I auto-log all my online conversations, and I do not throw any personal emails away. I like having a complete log of everything I do in life, in case I ever need to prove that I really WAS at home chatting with friends that night, and not out murdering some kid on the roadside or whatever. Plus I just like keeping track of my life.
Saved e-mails: See above.
Been cheated on: I would say so. :-p Though the other party seems to have some stupid excuses for why it wasn't cheating. Asshole.

*First thing that comes to mind*

Red: Door
Pink: Panther
Autumn: Falls
Cow: Boy

Very boring, I know. Sorry. It's actually 10 pm now, and I'm too sleepy to think of things that are more creative.

*What is..*

Your good luck charm: confidence
What's beside you?: my Romanian books
What kind of shampoo do you use?: whatever shampoo+conditioner-in-one products on the middle shelves at the store. The cheap stuff is usually on the bottom few shelves, and I've learned from experience that cheap shampoo is cheap for a reason.
Something that happened to you this year: I am living alone for the first time
Worst thing that has happened to you this year: a certain student in my class this summer
Believe in love at first sight: No
Like picnics: Sometimes, but I get headaches in the sun...
Like school: Yes
Loved anyone: Yes

*Would you:*

Eat a live hamster: Not under...normal circumstances.
If you were stuck on an island, what people would you want with you? People who could build a really good boat.

*Who Was the last person....

You yelled at: Maybe my mom?
Who broke your heart: ...P
Who told you they loved you: Grandma
Who is your loudest friend: I don't like, nor make friends with, loud people. Even comparing them to each other, I don't think there's a particularly loud one.

*Do you/Are You:*

Do you like filling these out: Yes.
Do you wear contacts or glasses: Yes, I love my glasses
Do you like yourself: Yes
Obsessive: Yes
Anorexic: No
Depressed: Every approximately two years, I get depressed for a year.
Suicidal: During my depressed years I am. The rest of the time, I'm just like everyone else: I say, "Auuugh, I'm going to kill myself" or whatever in frustration, or think how nice it would be to die, but I'm not actually suicidal like I am when I am depressed.

While I'm on the topic, I'm going to bring up something that bugs me: people who try to talk me out of my depression by telling me, "yeah, I think about killing myself sometimes too, but it's no big deal" or "hey, there are lots of people with far worse problems than yours" "your problems aren't so bad, you have no reason to be so depressed", "Everyone gets depressed sometimes, it's just a part of life, you'll get over it" "just think happy thoughts" etc.

I'm sure these people are trying to help, but these are horrible things to say to depressed, suicidal people. You're basically telling these people that their feelings are insignificant. So please, don't do this. It is more important that, if you really want to help the person, that you just be there for them, and LISTEN. You don't have to say anything, or feel obligated to make them feel better right then and there. Just listen.

*Final questions-*

What are you listening to right now: "wrestling" on TV, people in my household speaking Thai, electric fans humming, the sound of my own typing
Can you do a front or back flip: No
What did you do yesterday: Hung out in Waikiki with my family
What is your favorite band(s): Any band willing to let me join ;-) Or the White Stripes.
Hated someone in your family: Probably
Got any awards: Various random school ones, but they're not interesting, the most interesting awards I've gotten: runner-up in a national sandwich recipe contest; winner in the "maniac" category (basically random DDR party games, so it was dumb luck more than skill) at a DDR competition, Halloween costume contest "Most Creative" for a robot outfit with a heck of a lot of aluminum foil and cardboard
Want to get married: Not particularly. I won't necessarily object to it if it happens to me, but I'll probably ponder it very carefully before plunging in.
What is your favorite video game: Bemani (music) games. DDR, ParaParaParadise (even though para para isn't hip anymore), Beatmania, DrumMania, Guitar Freaks, KeyboardMania, Karaoke Revolution, as well as non-Bemani music games. Also, I've been oddly enough feeling some Starcraft nostalgia lately.
If you could change anything about yourself: That I can't change myself? I wish I were smarter. That I *can* change myself? I wish I had some goals in life, I wish I had my ambition back.
Good actor: I think I'm okay.
Good Singer: I think I'm fantastic. Unfortunately, I'm the only person who thinks so.
Have a lava lamp: No. I actually don't like them as much as I...should? would? could? I don't know.
How many remote controls are in your house: My apt in Seattle? None.
Are you double jointed: Yes
What do u dream about: Things that I *really really really really* want to happen; things I've been worrying about a lot; regular people, places and things I know but with a bizarre twist
Last time you showered: Today, around noon
what was the last movie you saw at the theaters: mulderfollower & I saw "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" last last week.
Scary or happy movies: happy, because I can't watch scary movies.
Silver or Gold: Silver. It's the hipper color/metal among my generation, apparently.
Diamond or pearl: Pearls are pretty.
Sunset or Sunrise: Sunrise. The word looks prettier. "Sunset" looks evil somehow.
Phone or in person: Neither? Online. I'm not very good in person, or on the phone. Not a people person.
Oldest, middle, youngest or only child: Oldest. Out of my 2 siblings, and 12 cousins. From both sides of the family.
Do you want your friends to fill this out and post it?: I guess.
gay, lesbian, bi, straight or open?: Uh, unspecified.
