Friends

I would have called Anthony my best friend if you asked. I don't think he or anybody knows how much I liked hanging out with him, or how much I went out of my way to help him out. One down ( Read more... )

why are you being called a hypocrite? cause you cheated once last year? if your "friends" are mad about that, then tell them to turn you in.
i think i can relate somewhat to how you feel. except that i got caught when i cheated. while i no longer approve of cheating, i wont turn people in.
these people cant get mad at you for doing the right thing.

jason, i still love you. i hope that everything you put in the past tense doesn't stay that way, because you feel like you're my brother, too. that having been said, it's just that i never expected this from you or josh, because you're of my two closest friends, and i thought i knew how you guys would react better than that. i never expected it. at all. yes, they cheated, but basically everyone has in the magnet program. they were messing around, it's not like they had the answers to the quiz--hell, they still didn't know exactly what to do for a few of the problems. i know i'm probably repeating what you've already heard, but if you really had a problem with what they were doing, you could have pulled them aside while they were doing it and told them you weren't cool with it, and if they didn't stop you were going to report them. you didn't even give them a chance, b/c i know if you or josh had done that, they would have stopped. neither of you had ever stated your apparently strong feelings on cheating ever before (at least ( ... )

I hope that every one knows i love Doan, without a doubt. And i don't Jon but from what i heard i would LOVE him too. But you did the right thing. I don't think i could have...i don't know if i'm that good of a person maybe other people are the hypocrites here. Maybe the people who are always preaching about what right but know that they could never do this (Me for example). I told you already i support what you did because at 17 it's damn hard to do teh right thing, even harder when it's your friends.

so whatever....life lesson.

If you think you did the right thing, then stop acting like this. If you regret it, then fix it.

Get over yourself. It's one thing to do the right thing, but you have to think about the repercussions too. Does it make you sleep better at night knowing that Doan's probably not going to get into any college with an honor code violation?

Maybe you should have thought about that before bouncing off to tell on him and everyone else.

I've been thinking about whether or not I should actually leave a comment or not. I decided I will (obviously), but I don't want to start drama, so realize I'm not going to respond to any comments that are made in response to this.

Doan is my best friend. So, you might think that's why I'm on "his side", but you're wrong. I think that what you did was out of character and out of line. It might have been considered the "right thing to do", but were you really turning in someone deserving of the punishment and repercussions? Doan and Jon are two of the most intelligent and hardworking guys I've ever met. They didn't get where they are by cheating. The only time I've seen Jon or Doan cheat is when they help other people. They don't cheat to benefit themselves hardly at all, if ever. They don't have binders and folders of old tests and quizzes they memorize to get A's on tests like Brian Aiken. Someone like that should get an Honor Code Violation, not Doan and Jon. I think it's ridiculous that this one thing is going to keep ( ... )
