I will always try to remember (NOT in chronological order):
*The time when we lived in Bridgedeck (apartment building in Manly) and the elevator needed servicing because 'someone inconsiderate individual' stuck chewing gum behind one of the buttons, short circuiting the whole power board. I was 7.
*Racing my bike down Manly-Queenscliff foreshore, and getting in trouble off the security guard for riding too fast and 'endangering' others on the footpath.
*My first day of kindergarten, when I wouldn't let go of my Mum. Then when I finally met other kids and diverted my attention elsewhere, my Mum cried.
*My first 'independant' outing, taking myself to Warringah Mall when I was 12. I got on the wrong bus and ended up at St. Ives. I had to wait on the side of Mona Vale Road for an hour until Mum could find me and pick me up =P
*The time when one of those giant koi fish (giant chinese goldfish) jumped out of my aunties pond and clamped onto my finger. I was teasing it.
*When I was riding my tricycle around the pool, around and around, going faster and faster each lap to be more daring until I took a corner too fast and fell into the pool.
*Slightly older, this time rollerblading around the same pool. Dad had to rescue me, because the rollerblades kept rolling, stopping me from walking out of the pool.
*When I was 8, and I was distracting Dad while he was driving down Condamine Street, forgetting traffic lights were recently installed, and running up the back of a BMW. And yes, he blamed me =P
*Dad swearing everytime he got caught at Spit Bridge opening times...then the one time he doesn't swear, I see the bridge opening and swear for him. I got the smack of a lifetime.
*Moving to Port Macquarie, and hearing Mum go "is this it?" as we went to the local mall for the first time.
*My first day of school in Port. Everyone was so welcoming, and I have made friendships that will last a lifetime.
*Having a 'busy book' in primary school.
*Catching the bus with all my schoolfriends. Bus 362 in Manly, and Bus "T" in Port Macquarie.
*Bus T and the 'bump' on Ocean Drive which we always taunted the driver with and made him explode in anger. *chants* BUMP, BUMP, BUMP, BUMP!
*Jumping off the sea-wall at Little Manly Beach, and always being scared of jumping off the opposite side, because it was built to keep sharks out.
*My first ever driving lesson in Hornsby, and making a wrong turn and ending up on Pennant Hills Roads when Dad promised to keep me on 'quiet streets'
*Failing my L's 3 times, and crying in joy when I finally passed them.
*Becoming best friends with Evan Barkess because we both had vegemite sandwiches for lunch.
*No matter how much argument there was at recess and lunchtimes, I was the Red Power Ranger, and no one else.
*Trying to grow my hair long, because the members of 'Hanson' had long blonde hair.
*Having a crush on scary spice, and wanting a tongue piercing as a result.
*Getting excited that the Spice Girls were releasing a movie, going to see it and walking out realising that they had no acting talent what-so-ever.
*Taking my posters down off my wall because I was dissapointed they had no acting talent.
*Watching Baz Luhrmans 'Romeo and Juliet' for the first time, igniting my love for Shakespeare.
*Watching Moulin Rouge and realising maybe I just loved Baz.
*The first time I ever snuck out of home, to go to a 'hothouse party'.
*Going to the school disco in Year 7, where NO ONE danced.
*Hurting my ankle at the Year 10 after-party because it was 'too dark' =\
*Going for my P's and being told I passed, but I misheard her and thought she said "didn't pass".
*Seeing her puzzled facial expression as I proceeded to leave the RTA without getting my new license photo taken.
*The joy in realising that I had actually passed and not failed.
*The first day of Year 11...meeting more new friends in a new 'grown up school'.
*The slow realisation that the workload at MacKillop would be shit, but knowing that my friendships will last a lifetime.
*Moving into my house in Port Macquarie and exclaiming in delight to how steep my driveway is.
*Going down the driveway on a bike, skateboard and rollerblades...succeeding in grazing my knees on my first (and final) rollerblading attempt.
*Saying "like whatever" for the first time and coming to the shocking realisation that I was a teenager =P
*Seeing Matt Williams neighbour get coat-hangered by a suspended beam as we explored (and trespassed) a building site =P
*Meeting Matt Williams on the first day of year 7, causing a fight by calling him a 'tryhard dickhead' then becoming best friends with him by the days end.
*Going on my first 'date' with Sarah Conaghan.
*Breaking up with her because she was 'weird'.
*Accidently using a calculator in the 'non calculator' section of the Year 10 trail maths certificate.
*My goldfish dying because mum 'dropped' the fishtank.
*My pet rabbit named "Loopy" who lived inside the house until she ripped up the carpet.
*Setting up a detective agency with Kyle and Kiera at the age of 7.
*Setting up a real estate agency with Kiera when Kyle moved and the detective agency ran out of crimes to solve.
*Riding bike around Greenmeadows. It was such a 'pleasantville'.
*Demanding that I got my own key of the house cut and when my parents refused, locking them out of the house with me holding the only key inside.
*Finally letting them in through the front door and being grounded for a week as punishment.
*getting glasses ♥ and seeing how much clearer I could see (realising that I am quite blind)
*Laughing for hours on end in food tech because a misprint on a can of soup informed us that it contained "vegetable cum"
*Breaking Alex's arm in year 9 because I was barricading a door and she tried to barge through it.
I'll add more to an edited post when I can think of more memories =P
