Yay for geeky shit!

I went to bed before 10pm last night.

Saturday, Mom and I hung out while her husband was working a night shift with the sheriff's department. She picked me up downtown and then we headed to World Market and then to "snack" at On The Border. There, we proceeded to have the worst experience ever, as our waitress ignored us, almost threw a bowl of queso in my lap, and ignored the whole "I'm a vegetarian, so I'd like the nachos to not have any meat" comment. The list goes on but we'll keep it simple. Turns out she was just tiffed that she was getting double and triple sat on a Saturday night. Imagine that! I got a manager after the nacho thing and explained everything that had gone wrong with our visit, we got a free meal, and they told the little bitch to go home.

Then we go to Target. While in the back of the store we hear what sounds like thunder. Simultaneously we ask "was that thunder?" and the power goes out. All the power. Pitch black in the back of a Super Target. People were screaming, running into things, and Mom and I just used our cellphones as flashlights and stood still till finally the emergency lights came on. Surprisingly, the emergency power also worked the registers so we, as well as everyone else in that fucking store, went to the front to the checkout lines.

From our lane you could see out the doors, which was pitch black. The rain looked to be horizontal because of the wind. I thought briefly of the possibility of a tornado, but thankfully it was just a big fucking storm. All the power was out along all of major Youree Drive, including traffic lights. Fuck was that tense.

Sunday was a lazy day. I met Josh from Natchitoches after I picked up a coffee and before he and his friend headed back. I went into Best Buy and picked up a car charger for my Moto RAZR, and even one of those spiffy bluetooth wireless ear pieces. Yay for geeky shit!

I had Yeero-Yeero (Greek) for lunch/dinner, watched America's Next Top Model: Season 3, (yay! Eva won!), and then headed to bed. As stated previously, I was in bed before 10pm.

Casie calls, twice, at 4AM. Her and her husband, Herbie, (don't laugh, I've done enough of that over the years), are getting a divorce. She was drunk, and for some reason thought I'd know "what to do", but of course I didn't and don't. They have a baby girl together and it's something she needs to figure out on her own, not be told what to do.

So, here I am, wide awake and listening to Late Night Mix on AOL Radio, which by-the-who now features XM radio stations. Now paying my $9/mo for AOL Broadband doesn't seem so bad, bitches.
