Another Random Firing
So... my company just randomly fired another one of my colleagues. So, we have ranged from a team of 3 to a team of 7 and we've lost a total of 7 members in the last 2 years. it's CrAzY.
I'm SURE that it wasn't a random firing, the dude must have done something incredibly wrong while I was out at lunch today. It's just a hit to team moral. The weirdest thing: noone knows what happened. *shrug*
In other news, I think I'm going to be missing pride weekend here in Minneapolis because I unknowingly planned this weekend to work on my final paper for my multiculturalism course (due in 1 week). *I am SO the king of procrastination*
Monday I think I'm going to have to call all those schools who haven't contacted me about my applications and see what's up... or rather "I'm calling to verify that you have received my application for the (xyz) position at your school. Can you tell me when you are planning on starting the interview process?" It'll be fun... Hopefully there won't be too many rejects in those calls... but I'll be prepared for it if I must. I've decided that if I don't land a full time teaching job I'm going to sub for a year. It may be a bit chaotic and I'll definitely have to curb my spending, but goddammit, I'll have teaching experience for the next go around. OR... I'll just plan on the Peace Corps for 2007-2009... we'll see.
