Job sucks ass... again. Enough said.
Rehearsal tonight was GREAT. My fears were realized, Dames at Sea is a REALLLLY cheezy musical... with tap dancing. The music's not bad (at least to play). I'm the only brass player in the whole show so I Get to play a LOT, which is great (though I'll have to work on my endurance). This'll also stretch my familiarity with key signatures (I've got some Doozies like F# and Gb... whatever signer they wrote it for was a BITCH... give me a good F or G an I'd be fine). The Kids are fun this year... I get to sit next to the ornry Bassist which will keep rehearsals fun. I came home SUPER happy.
I think I forgot how much I love playing my trumpet over the last two years... how the hell did that happen? I've got it back -thank god- and I hope I don't lose that feeling again.
