*iz on vacation*

What's better than not having to work?

Getting paid not to work!

That's right!  I may be a lowly grocery store flunkie, but I gots two--count them, TWO--weeks of paid vacation this year.  I'm using one of them this week.  On tap is cleaning my pit of an apartment, working on my massive family history projects (lesson plans, learning what the heck I'm doing in the first place so I can teach a class, plus personal research), working on other artsy/craftsy projects that have languised, and writing various letters that I've had brewing in the back of my mind.
Oh yeah, and working on chapter seven of TPOS.  Edit, edit, edit!

I was going to go to the coast for two days and stay in a yurt, but I don't think my pocketbook is going to allow for it.  Sad Wade!  I'm gonna have to find other nature-escapes this rainy week to make up for it.

I was going to craft a webpage for my family history class/project, but LJ has put an end to that by not having free memberships.  Anybody know any other venues for website building?  On the cheap?
