Training men is like herding cats.
I know, I know, I sound like one of those bitter women who hate men who really just need a good fuck (according to every man when a woman says she's fed up with the male half of the species). But in all honesty, I hate trying to train a man to do my job. Why? Because they already know what they're doing and they don't need your help, thank you very much. Every male I have trained DOESN'T LISTEN. I tell them how to do the job, I show them how to do the job, and after a week of doing the job, they still don't know what the hell they are doing. I don't know if it's a gender issue or an age issue or a military-background issue (they have all been veterans, from Vietnam to breaking themselves in boot camp).
Thank God for small miracles. The last moron I've been trying to train for a month finally gave his notice. Apparently, minimum wage just "doesn't work." Now I have a nice, new, shiny girl to train. She listens. She follows instructions. She doesn't argue with me about everything. She's wonderful.
Now if only I could get rid of the rest of the idiots. Like the law student who had never heard the word "misogynist."
