So I won an Ipod Nano (16GB) on Monday. It was a gift given to four people chosen from a survey my school conducted some months ago. I had not paid much attention to the results of the raffle since I did not expect to win and it had been a few months since I had completed the survey and had not heard anything back from them.

I went to the administration building to claim my price at 9am on a Tuesday =) I had questions that I wanted answered by the financial aid office first so I paid them a visit first--I was surprised they were open and attending to people at 8:50AM (I was person number 8! There was no one else in front of me.

16gb ipod?! I don't have 16gbs of hipster indie music to go cruising and blasting through Crooklyn's 6th ave in Park Slope! I can probably cruise some six blocks with the music I have.

I haven't had such a need to get music since when i bought my first compy.
I found some alternatives to using Itunes for transferring music...but I can't seem to get the album art to go through even though the id3tags and what nots have them. I've tried Songbird and I was moderately pleased with it. I am trying Winamp now and I am more pleased. It transfers the songs at ridiculous speed and is much more "idiot proof" than others I've tried using. I've already placed three music videos in there, one hour long episode of Earth: Final Conflict and a lot albums I didn't really do a lot of "quality control" to see if the album was worth a listen or if it was only that one good track that I liked.

also...

"Tough looking hipsters" isn't that an oxymoron?
